We understand that life can get pretty hectic for children with lots of after-school activities. We have partnered with up to 40 schools across Auckland to provide music lessons during school time and after school time. NORTH SHORE SCHOOLS

Since 1990 The Music Education Centre has been partnering with Primary and Intermediate schools to provide CONVENIENT and specialist music lessons on-site, at school. 

Just like the lessons at our centres, our in-schools programmes are structured to individual student needs and mean that lessons are both FUN and Educational!

Whether your child wants to learn piano or guitar, keyboard or drums, our in-schools lessons might be the best way to get started.

Learning an instrument or how to sing brings a range of benefits for children. It is a fun recreational activity, of course, but it also helps brain development, motor skills, speech, concentration abilities, and more.

Music lessons can also open new opportunities for children, expanding their horizons, and they are a great way for children to socialise. 

With after school and weekend lessons available at Ponsonby Intermediate, we are also proud to offer lessons during the school day at several other Central Auckland Schools.

Looking for the convenience of professional, expert and FUN face to face lessons at your school. Our Music Education Centre teachers offer specialist one to one lessons at schools all over Auckland and if you are in the Eastern Suburbs, we might have lessons available at your school.

Most of our in schools lessons are held at school, during the school day, and some schools even give the option of tuition after school. If lessons are not available at your child’s school – Don’t worry- that’s why we have Auckland covered with our four centres.
